05. Our events

The library organizes a series of events which are advertised from time to time using the traditional means of communication (notice board, leaflets, newspapers, and website).Some of our events have turned into regular appointments;

"The pleasure of meeting": the library offers meeting rooms and books to 2 autonomous reading groups who meet monthly in order to discuss the subjects of the chosen books. Participation is free of charge and voluntary. For information on time and dates please contact the library.

"Stories at tea-time": an animated story for pre-school and primary grade children which concludes with a snack served to all children present.

"The show cases": this event starts with the preparation of a show case with books and documents on a common subject, varying topics each time. Conferences, discussions, films and workshops on the subject make up the framework. A leaflet of the event is issued with details of the various appointments.

We want to remind you of the most popular show cases:
- The wellness library in fall
- A Dedication to women in March
- The library … for peace

"Didactic path": a series of cultural events for students of all grades and disciplines designed to introduce the library and stimulate a more frequent and spontaneous use of all the library services. The guide to the proposed activities is presented in September and can be downloaded from the website.

"Meetings with authors": writers are invited regularly in order to offer the public an occasion to meet them and discuss their works directly.

Foreign language conversation: every Thursday evening the library offers a space dedicated to those who want to review / practice a foreign language together with a native speaker. At the moment the library offers English conversation with Georgia Koch and German conversation with Wolfgang Lechner. Participation is free of charge.
